For Your Business:

-
Expand Your Service Offerings: By offering both tank and tankless propane options, you cater to a wider range of customer needs and budgets.
Customer Advantages:
-
Superior Efficiency: Propane water heaters can reach energy efficiency ratings of up to 95%, compared to around 80% for electric models. That translates to lower energy bills for your customers.
-
Endless Hot Water (Tankless): Tankless propane water heaters deliver a continuous flow of hot water, eliminating cold showers mid-laundry cycle.
-
Faster Recovery Times (Tank): Propane water heaters heat water much quicker than electric models, so customers won't have to wait long for a hot shower after someone else uses the hot water.

Space Saving (Tankless): Tankless models free up valuable floor space, ideal for smaller homes or those with limited storage.

Propane Furnaces
Propane furnaces deliver exceptional performance, offering best-in-class efficiency (measured by AFUE) and reliable heating solutions for homes of all sizes. Unlike heat pumps, which often struggle in colder climates, propane furnaces consistently deliver warm air at 115–125°F, ensuring maximum comfort for your customers regardless of outdoor conditions.
For enhanced efficiency, hybrid heating systems combine propane furnaces with air-source heat pumps. This dual-fuel setup optimizes performance, reduces utility costs, and provides reliable warmth even during the coldest winter months—giving your clients a dependable and energy-efficient option.
Propane Boilers & Radiant Heating
Propane boilers are a versatile, cost-effective choice for a variety of applications, including hydronic baseboards, in-floor radiant heating, and more. With outputs up to 299,000 Btu/h, propane boilers can meet the demands of any home while lowering energy costs for homeowners. Radiant heating systems powered by propane deliver even, comfortable heat—an excellent upsell opportunity for custom installations.
Propane Pool & Spa Heating
Propane pool and spa heaters offer faster heating and better temperature maintenance than electric systems, ensuring year-round backyard comfort for your clients.

Propane vs. Electric
PROPANE WORKS HARDER
Because it’s stored onsite, propane is there even when the electricity goes out. Plus, propane can meet all of a home’s major energy needs, inside and out.
PROPANE MEANS COMFORT
Homeowners want a place they can relax and truly feel at home. From more comfortable home heating to providing endless hot water, propane delivers.
PROPANE SAVES MONEY
Propane is so affordable, and propane appliances are so efficient that homeowners can save hundreds of dollars in annual energy costs.
PROPANE IS SUSTAINABLE
Much of America’s electricity is produced by coal-burning power plants. Plus, it takes 2.52 units of electricity to produce and deliver one unit of energy to a home, versus just 1.01 for propane. For sustainability, propane wins hands down.
Texas Requirements
Plumbers and contractors doing doing propane work in Texas must be licensed or registered with the Railroad Commission of Texas. Individuals who are currently licensed as master or journeyman plumbers by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners or who are currently licensed with a Class A or B Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to register with the Alternative Fuels Safety (AFS) department and be granted an exemption to the Category D licensing and examination requirements.
Training Available
The National Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) offers a free course developed by experts that covers all the basics of working with propane appliances. The objective of the training is for plumbing and HVAC instructors and training professionals everywhere to add this course to their curriculum and employee training programs. Together, we can train the next generation of professionals to work with propane.
